Welcome to Women's Wellness Center at Toccoa Clinic and thank you for visiting our web site. Dr. Louis Fernandez and Dr. Lionel Meadows are the Medical Directors of Women's Wellness Center. Our Certified Nurse Midwives are Mrs. April Teffault and Ms Denise Woodring. We also have two Nurse Practitioners available; Mrs. Alexa Ivester and Mrs. Joy McCollum. We have developed this web site as a way to help educate our patients and to talk about our newest proceedures and services.
Our web site provides a vast library of relevant health content and a number of services to help you. Because we all have different learning styles, there are a number of educational formats, including medical articles, interactive discussion boards, videoconferences and email newsletters. Our web site also provides an opportunity for shopping.
Dr. Fernandez and Dr. Meadows now offer Essure Sterilization, which is a non-surgical proceedure for perminant birth control. It is extremely effective and the recovery time is eliminated because there are no inscisions.
Also offered are numerous new Pelvic Floor Suspension techniques. These outpatient, minimally invasive procedures provide superb results with minimal recovery time. Please make an appointment to discuss any of these procedures with one of our clinicians.
UPDATE: We now offer Tumescent Liposuction at our Toccoa Office. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis with the patient returning home the same day and may resume many normal activities almost immediately. Please call for more information.
